June Dillinger: Director of Events
How many years have you been coaching, and what inspired you to become a professional coach?
4 years.
I was drawn to professional coaching because it allowed me to bring together all of my life skills in one meaningful place. Coaching gives me the opportunity to ask thoughtful questions, listen deeply, and support clients in discovering their own path forward. My inspiration came through an email I received from Toastmasters, which opened the door to this journey.
What is the primary focus or niche of your coaching practice, and If you could have any fictional character as a coaching client, who would it be?
Supporting people as their accountability coach, so they can have the dreams they say they want.
Dorothy (The Wizard of Oz) – determined and hopeful, but her journey is filled with distractions and outside influences. An accountability coach could help her stay aligned with her dream of returning home.
What unique skills, experiences, or perspectives will you contribute to our ICF chapter as a board member?
I bring a unique blend of entrepreneurial leadership, facilitation, and heart-centered connection to the board. Through my work with Heart Cards Global, Making Love Visible, and I Do Hawaiian Weddings, I’ve built communities around trust, accountability, and meaningful relationships. My experiences range from guiding individuals through life’s most significant commitments to creating tools that foster authentic dialogue. I listen deeply, ask thoughtful questions, and create spaces where people feel seen and supported. As a board member, I will contribute creative vision, organizational leadership, and a commitment to collaboration—always with the goal of strengthening our ICF chapter and supporting coaches in thriving both personally and professionally.
What is one goal you’d love to achieve as a board member to strengthen our chapter and support its members?
One goal I’d love to achieve as a board member is to create more opportunities for meaningful connection among our members. By fostering spaces where coaches can share experiences, learn from one another, and feel truly supported, we can strengthen our chapter and help each member thrive both personally and professionally.
What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know, and how does it shape who you are as a coach or leader?
A fun fact about me is that I can surf—even though I only started during the very first month of the pandemic, after living in Hawai‘i for over 40 years. Learning something completely new reminded me what it feels like to be a beginner again. As a coach and leader, that perspective keeps me patient, empathetic, and encouraging with others as they step into their own new challenges and dreams.
